Policies

A coaching relationship is a professional relationship. When we work together, The following policies will be upheld so that there is no misunderstanding about what is expected. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

COACHING POLICIES

SCOPE

Coaching is a collaborative process in which I support you to achieve your personal, academic or professional goals. I provide guidance, encouragement and accountability, and you are ultimately responsible for your own progress and results.

CLIENT ENROLLMENT

I only work with people who are also willing to work on themselves with me. If you are planning to purchase or have purchased services for someone else, make sure that you have reviewed the payment policies below and understand that I will need to communicate directly with the client before fully committing to the engagement.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As your coach, my role is to:

  • Create a safe and supportive space for you to explore your goals & challenges

  • Ask powerful questions to help you gain clarity and perspective

  • Offer insights and suggestions based on my experience and expertise

  • Hold you accountable to your own commitments

As my client, your role is to:

  • Come to each session prepared and open to learn

  • Be honest and transparent with me about your goals and challenges

  • Commit to taking new action and experimenting

  • Be respectful of my time and expertise

CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

Conversations during coaching sessions are kept confidential, though they may be recorded for reference & safety when my client is a minor. I will not share information about you with anyone else without your permission, except as required by law.

SESSIONS

Coaching sessions typically last for 30-60 minutes and are scheduled weekly or biweekly.

FEES & PAYMENT

Because many clients are sponsored by parents/guardians, I offer a 100% refund of the initial program deposit within 7 days of enrollment. I will work with both the Sponsor and Client to meet with the client within 7 days so that they can feel comfortable moving forward with the coaching engagement. If for any reason, either one of us does not wish to proceed, a full refund will be issued. After 7 days, the deposit will be considered non-refundable and the coaching engagement will begin.

Without a refund request, Sponsor/Client will be invoiced as outlined in the coaching agreement beginning 7 days after the initial deposit is made.

For programs exceeding $1000, payment plans are available.

When a payment is missed, the coaching engagement will be paused for up to 30 days. After 30 days of missed payments, the engagement will be terminated, and the Client will need to re-enroll for the program at the present rate, which may exceed the original fee amount.

GUARANTEE

At the beginning of the program, we determine 1-3 goals or areas to focus on. If by the end of the engagement, you are not satisfied with your progress, I will continue working with you at my discretion until you are.

TERMINATION

You can terminate the coaching relationship at any time. Any fees already paid at the time of termination will be forfeit.

COPYRIGHT

All coaching materials, including workbooks, exercises & handouts, are copyrighted and protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or distribute these materials without my (or the creator’s) express permission.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

If you have any concerns or disagreements during the coaching relationship, please let me know immediately. We will work together to resolve the issue in a timely and respectful manner.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Permission to share non-identifying information: I may share non-identifying information about my clients for marketing or educational purposes, such as in blog posts, talks, podcasts or case studies. I will not share any information that could identify you without your express permission.

  • Photography and video: I may take photographs or videos of my clients during or immediately after coaching sessions. I will only use these images or videos with your express permission.

  • Not a substitute for professional advice: Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medical care or substance abuse treatment. I am not a licensed therapist or medical professional. If you are experiencing any mental health or medical challenges, I encourage you to seek an appropriate professional for help. I may refer you to other professionals, which is not to be seen as a personal endorsement. You are expected to do your own due diligence when choosing any care provider.

SPEAKING POLICIES

PODCASTS
I love doing podcast interviews!
I will not pay to appear on podcasts unless there is a well-defined and guaranteed ROI.
I will not guest on a show with fewer than 100 episodes (some exceptions on a case by case basis).

SUMMITS
I no longer speak at virtual summits.
Contact me to discuss in-person summit opportunities.

SPEAKING FEES
I expect to be compensated for in-person and virtual speaking and emceeing services. On occasion this compensation may take the form of something other than monetary payment, which may be negotiated on a case by case basis.

SPONSORSHIPS
When I consider making an investment in sponsorship of your conference or event, I expect the sponsorship agreement to include a minimum of one minute on stage in front of your audience to introduce myself.

Please let me know if you have any further questions about these policies.
