2nd Wednesday Virtual Open Office Hours - May

We're making this a regular thing! And I'm so excited!

I'm noticing a need for more spaces where people have PERMISSION to be  who they are, think what they think and feel what they feel.

This is one of those spaces.

You don't have to pretend to care.
You don't have to pretend not to care.

Join me every 2nd Wednesday starting in February for an hour of connection, collaboration, community and creativity.

Need some accountability? Let's co-work together!

Need to vent? I'll listen.

Have questions about parenting, adulting, my services or the Raising Grownups Parenting Community? Ask!

This is a casual opportunity to step into a Zoom room for 5 minutes or hang out and have a "virtual coffee" with us for an hour.

The room WILL BE OPEN the entire hour from 1:00-2:00pm every second Wednesday of the month.

I get to show up where I say I'll be and allow the right  people to come to me.

It's NOT another meeting where you have to be "on" or act like you're feeling any differently than how you're feeling today.

If this is something that fits in your schedule or you happen to receive  the unexpected gift of time, please pop in!

Bring your lunch if you need to, and let's hang out.

My goal is that you leave in a better mood than you come in with (and if you come with a happy mood, maybe you'll leave happier).

Pop in for 5 minutes or stay for the hour. Invite your friends.

No agenda, no pressure, just an opportunity to connect and grow in relationship with one another.

Gap Year Game Plan

What if you have a student who's not sure about college?

Taking a gap year is something that is appealing to more and more graduates lately... (and terrifying more and more parents!)

Maybe you worry that a gap year will cause your student to lose momentum and limit their future potential.

Maybe you know that your student isn't ready for college right away but don't really know what their options are.

Maybe you believe that if they don't enroll in college the year after high school, they never will. If you're the parent of a high school junior or senior who isn't sure that college is right for them right now, or if you are parenting a current college student who seems to have lost their motivation along the way, join me for this informative session and put your mind at ease!

We're going to talk about exactly what a gap year is, who it's for and why it matters when it comes to motivating your student's long term success!

Virtual Office Hour (Public)

Open Office Hour

I'm hosting an informal gathering to talk about whatever. Like maybe WORD OF THE YEAR?…

It’s like over the summer when I work at a coffee shop and invite everyone I know to drop in, enjoy a beverage or a bite and say hi.

It’s a virtual coffee shop office hour from my house and your house instead!

I'm noticing a need for more spaces where people have PERMISSION to be who they are, think what they think and feel what they feel.

So I'm creating those spaces this year.

You don't have to pretend to care.
You don't have to pretend not to care.

My goal is that you leave in a better mood than you come in with (and if you come with a happy mood, leave happier!).

Pop in for 5 minutes or stay for the hour. Invite your friends.
I can't wait to see you. And if you want to work on your Word of the Year, we can totally do that, too!

Word of the Year

We will work collaboratively to guide you to one word that will influence your decisions and behaviors in the year ahead. Many people find it overwhelming to create a list of resolutions for the New Year, and find it frustrating and discouraging when they can’t keep them. I know that I do! What I’ve done the last several years is to focus on just one word, and it has helped me to move with clarity and confidence in many aspects of my life.

To read more about the Word of the Year and why everybody’s doing it, read this: https://www.patreon.com/posts/word-of-year-95549151

If you’ve already chosen your word of the year, you will have the opportunity to confirm your word, share your experience with the word of the year process and develop new ways to apply your word on this call.

Own Your Future

Free Workshop for Young Adults Who Want to Live Their Own Life.

Do you know who you want to be when you grow up?

As a new semester begins, when you're feeling lost, stuck or confused about your future, you're not alone. Thinking about college or making some big career decisions can feel overwhelming.

At this very moment, you might be trying not to think about it at all.

Tons of people struggle with finding their passion and purpose for their whole lives!

They go through the motions, complain about how the world lets them down and find themselves anxious, overworked and all stressed out.

Life doesn't have to be this way!

In fact, it hurts my heart when people think that life is nothing but SUCK!

I believe that ADULTING is fun, and if you don't believe that yet, that's okay.

I'm going to show you what I mean in this free workshop so that you can feel this way about your life, too!

Hi, I’m Sara Deacon, The Adulting Coach.

I help new adults figure out for themselves who they want to be when they grow up so they can have the courage to suck at something new, confidently decide how they want to live their own life, and adult successfully.

I’m hosting a free webinar on September 20th at 6:30 pm CST where I’ll teach you how to craft your path to passion and purpose on purpose.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • Simple and FUN goal setting

  • The real reason you have trouble realizing your dreams

  • One action to take right away to gain (or regain) control of your destiny

This event is for young adults and those who want to live their own life instead of following the same path that hasn't seemed to work out so hot for most of the people telling you to walk their way.

If that sounds like you, don’t miss this opportunity.

Register now and secure your spot before it’s too late!

As a bonus, when you register for this webinar, you’ll also get a free "Players Guide" because the game of life doesn't come with an instruction manual, so I created one for you. It's a simple worksheet to help you beat the most common challenge that keeps many adults from pursuing their passions.

What are you waiting for?

Register now and join me for this life-changing event.

Spots are limited so hurry up and claim yours now.

I can’t wait to see you there!

Summer "Open Office Hours"

Join me at Blum Coffee Garden every Wednesday this summer through August 30.

The main intention behind this “open office” time is CONNECTION (one of my personal top core values).

There are three main reasons why I do this.

  1. It gets me out of my much noisier house over the summer, which allows me some dedicated time to work without the household distractions.

  2. It simplifies my connection opportunities. When I'm in a public place, I can simply be where I said I'll be, without worrying about calendars and constant follow up.

  3. It's a very casual and open way for potential clients to meet me without committing to a full session or worrying that they're getting on a sales call.

If you join me on any Wednesday between 10:00am and 3:00pm from June 14 through August 30, there's no guarantee that someone else won't also be chatting with me, too, which I don't anticipate being a problem since most of my people enjoy people, too!

No need to call ahead or make an appointment, just show up and enjoy a cup of something delicious and a casual, open conversation with me!

Make sure to check my social channels for any updates or cancellations.

You can also subscribe to my emails to receive more valuable information and details about other upcoming events directly

Anxiety Self-Defense

Anxiety Self-Defense

This is a group workshop to address the causes of anxiety in your life and provide practical tools for you to move forward based on proven self-defense techniques.

As a martial artist and instructor, I am fascinated by self-defense and HOW and WHY it works. Many of the moves are counterintuitive, which is why training and practice is important in order to feel confident and prepared to defend yourself in a threatening physical situation.

The same is true for anxiety.

Your natural instincts will make things worse. You need to learn how to use the momentum of the attack to your advantage and understand what’s happening before you can truly break free.

This event is for you if…

  • you’re feeling overwhelmed by your options, other people’s expectations and your own to-do list

  • there’s never enough hours in the day or energy available to do all the things

  • you’re feeling discouraged and frustrated because you’re constantly second-guessing yourself

  • you’re sick of overthinking about everything and wish you could just do the stuff that comes so easily to everyone else

You’ll learn:

  • what the body’s really doing and why it freaks you out so much

  • 3 common mistakes that escalate anxiety and add stress

  • how to apply physical self-defense concepts to your thoughts and emotions

  • a simple 3-step framework to confront and prevent anxiety

This event is VIRTUAL and you will receive the Zoom link via email after registration.
